About this printable
A letter-of-the-week routine works because it does one letter at a time instead of racing through the alphabet. This pack is the week's worth of H in one file.
It starts with big H and h to trace, then guided handwriting rows to write them alone. Next is a words page - hat, hen, hand and more - each printed to trace and then copy, so the letter is met inside real words rather than in isolation. Last is a find-and-circle grid where the child hunts every H and h hidden among the other letters, which trains the quick recognition that reading needs.
Each pack opens with a colour picture of the letter's own word - A is for apple, B is for ball - drawn big and simple, because a four year old chooses the page with the picture on it. The practice pages themselves stay black and white, so a full week costs almost nothing to print.

Plain paper is fine for worksheets; use 160-300 gsm card for anything you plan to cut out, and laminate or slide pages into a wallet when they need to survive a dry-wipe pen.

What order should I teach the letters in?
Many teachers start with s, a, t, i, p, n because those letters make the most simple words early. Our letter-of-the-week packs follow that order, but you can use them in any sequence.
Are these UK or US phonics?
The packs use letter sounds that work for both. Where spelling differs we note it in the product description.
Do flashcards need special paper?
No. Regular paper works. For cards that last, print on 160-300 gsm card or laminate them.
