This page explains what WorksheetJar does with your information. We have written it the way we would want it written for us: short, specific, and without the paragraphs that exist only to cover every possibility.

The short version. We ask for your email address so we can send your files, and your name and country so the receipt is correct. Payment details go straight to Razorpay or Stripe and never reach us. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you bought something.

1. Who is responsible for your data

WorksheetJar operates this site from India and is the data controller for the information described here. Questions about privacy, or a request to see or delete your data, go to [email protected].

There is no account to create, so there is no password and no profile. We do not ask for a postal address, because nothing is posted. We do not ask for a date of birth, a phone number or anything else we would not use.

3. What we never see

Your card number, your CVV, your UPI PIN and your bank login never touch this site. Payment is taken on the payment provider's own systems. What comes back to us is a confirmation that the payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference number. We could not store your card details even by accident, because they are never sent to us in the first place.

4. Cookies

We use one cookie. It is a session cookie that remembers what is in your cart and which display currency you chose, and it is deleted when you close your browser. It carries no name, no email address and nothing that identifies you personally.

There is no advertising cookie on this site, no tracking pixel, no social media widget and no third party script loading from another company's servers. That is also why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner.

If your browser blocks cookies entirely, the cart will not remember what you added, but the rest of the site works normally.

5. Email we send you

Order emails. Your download links and your receipt. These are part of the purchase, so they are always sent.
Replies. If you write to us, we reply. That is all.
Marketing. Only if you have asked for it. Buying something does not put you on a list, and every marketing email has a one click unsubscribe.

6. Who we share it with

Only the companies that make the shop work, and only with what they need to do their part.

Razorpay and Stripe. Payment processing. They receive your payment details directly from you, plus the order amount and reference.
Our email provider. Delivers your order email and our replies, so it handles your email address and the message.
Our web host. Stores the site and its order records on its servers.
An accountant or a tax authority. Sales records, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your data, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers. Nobody receives your information in exchange for money.

7. Where your data is held

Our business is based in India and our suppliers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside your own country. Where information moves between countries, we rely on the contractual protections our suppliers provide for those transfers. The payment providers hold their own security certifications for the card data they handle.

8. How long we keep it

Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is several years. These are the records that let us help you with an old order.
Download links: they stop working 72 hours after purchase.
Contact form messages: kept while the matter is open, then for a reasonable period in case you write again about the same thing.
Server logs: a short rolling period, then overwritten.
Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.

9. Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Order records are stored outside the public area of the server, and download links are signed so they cannot be guessed or edited into a link for somebody else's files. Access is limited to the people who need it, which in a business this size is a very short list.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affected your data we would tell you, and the relevant authority, as quickly as the law requires and in plain language.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have some or all of the following rights. We will honour them wherever we reasonably can, regardless of your country.

Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it for tax or accounting.
Ask us to stop using it for marketing, at any time and with no reason given.
Ask for a copy in a portable format.
Complain to the data protection authority in your own country.

Write to [email protected] from the address you used with us, or through the contact form. We reply within one working day and act on the request within one month. There is no charge.

11. Children

Many of our products are designed for children, but the shop is not. It is meant for adults buying on a child's behalf, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. If a change is a significant one and we hold your email address, we will tell you rather than leaving you to notice.
