About this printable
Telling the time to 5 minutes is the last big step before minute-perfect reading. It leans on counting in 5s around the face, so it doubles as skip-counting practice.
This pack stays at one level - reading to the nearest 5 minutes - so the difficulty is honest and a child is not thrown a time they have not been taught. Half the sheets show a clock and ask the child to write the time; the other half give the time and ask the child to draw the hands, which is the harder direction and the one that proves they really understand it. The clock faces are drawn properly, with all sixty minute marks, not simplified.
The times change on every sheet, so a child cannot memorise the answers. An answer key closes each pack for quick marking. A4 and US Letter, black and white. Personal and single classroom use.
