About this printable
Patterning is early algebra, and sorting is early data handling, though neither sounds like it at three years old. This pack covers both properly rather than as a single token page.
Pattern strips run AB, AAB, ABB, ABC and ABCD, each with a copy stage, a continue stage and a create-your-own stage. Sorting mats cover colour, shape, size and then two attributes at once, which is the step most packs skip and the one that actually stretches a child.
Designed for laminating: loose pieces to cut out, mats sized to hold them, and heavier lines that survive a laminator. Sixty pages, A4 and US Letter. The loose pieces are printed several to a page to save paper, and a storage label sheet is included so each set stays together between uses. Personal and single-classroom use.

Print at 100% or "actual size" rather than "fit to page", otherwise the margins shift and the pages stop lining up. A4 and US Letter are both included, so pick whichever your printer is loaded with. Plain paper is fine for worksheets; use 160-300 gsm card for anything you plan to cut out, and laminate or slide pages into a wallet when they need to survive a dry-wipe pen.
What the licence allows

Do I need a colour printer?
For colour flashcards, yes. Colour-by-number and shape worksheets are designed to print fine in black and white to save ink.
Are British spellings used?
Product pages use "colour" and "color" interchangeably so both spellings find the products. The printables themselves use minimal text.
What paper size?
