About this printable

A times table chart on the wall only works if a child looks at it, and a child looks at it when each table has its own page rather than being lost in a grid of 144 boxes. This set gives all twelve tables a full poster each, colour coded so the four times table is always the same colour on the wall, in the pocket card and on the worksheet. Teachers, tutors and parents running nightly practice all work from the same colours.

Alongside the twelve posters sit a full 12 by 12 grid in two versions, one filled and one blank to complete from memory, and a pattern poster showing the tricks that actually help: the nine times finger method, the fives always ending in 0 or 5, and the doubling route from twos to fours to eights. Practice pages give each table a drill sheet, a mixed review after every third table, and a one minute speed test with a score box. Pocket sized cards print eight to a page for a homework folder or a keyring. Answer keys are provided for every drill and test page.

Plain paper is fine for worksheets; use 160-300 gsm card for anything you plan to cut out, and laminate or slide pages into a wallet when they need to survive a dry-wipe pen.
