About this printable

A classroom job chart stops working the moment students cannot tell what their job actually involves. Every card in this set names the job, shows it in one picture, and lists the two or three steps that job takes, so a line leader, a paper monitor and a plant carer all know what finishing looks like without asking.

Twenty-four jobs are covered, from the standard line leader, door holder, book monitor, library monitor and tidy monitor, through to the ones that save a teacher real minutes: register monitor, chair monitor, board rubber, ICT monitor, recycling monitor, message runner and welcome monitor. The editable Word lets you rename any job to match your room. Two chart layouts are supplied, a pocket chart column style and a magnetic strip style, plus 36 student name tags with a blank set for new arrivals. A rotation tracker grid records who has done which job, which ends the argument about whose turn it is.

Everything prints at A4 and US Letter in colour or greyscale. Print onto card and laminate for a chart that survives a year. Personal and single classroom use is licensed; resale and redistribution are not permitted.

Print at 100% or "actual size" rather than "fit to page", otherwise the margins shift and the pages stop lining up. A4 and US Letter are both included, so pick whichever your printer is loaded with. Plain paper is fine for worksheets; use 160-300 gsm card for anything you plan to cut out, and laminate or slide pages into a wallet when they need to survive a dry-wipe pen.
