About this download

Forty-two square backgrounds at 2000 by 2000 pixels: twelve gradients, nine paper and linen textures, fourteen patterns (dots, stripes, diagonals, checks and grid lines) and seven simple geometric compositions - arches, circles, a half circle, corner blocks and waves.

Every one is drawn in code rather than photographed. That is the main reason to use them instead of free stock: there is no model release, no property release, no photographer to credit and nothing that can be withdrawn from a library later.

They share their colours with the rest of the shop, so a background from here sits happily under the clipart, the templates and the stationery. At 2000 pixels each is 300 dpi at about seventeen centimetres, which covers listing images, social posts, headers and most print use.

Print at 100% or "actual size" rather than "fit to page", otherwise the margins shift and the pages stop lining up. Digital are both included, so pick whichever your printer is loaded with. Plain paper is fine for worksheets; use 160-300 gsm card for anything you plan to cut out, and laminate or slide pages into a wallet when they need to survive a dry-wipe pen.

What the licence allows

Your purchase covers personal use and use in a single classroom by one teacher. Print as many copies as you need for your own family or class.
